Holiday 2010 Party Wear

Just a sneak peek on a video I've been working on recently (=

OUTFIT ONE - Two piece outfit

I love the sheer blouse. Love all things sheer. The color is very nice and festive. The ruffles are very girly and the bell sleeves are so classy.
This skirt is so pretty! The silver detailing is also quite festive and fits on my body quite nicely. I paired this outfit with "hole-y" stockings to give it some texture and to add some pizazz to the outfit ;)
Blouse - Akris (Vintage) but the brand is available at Neiman Marcus
Skirt - H&M from last year (saw one exactly like this at F21)
Stocking - Taiwan

Outfit 3 - Black Lace
Lace has been going strong for a few seasons now. And black is probably the best way to go if you're not sure what the attire is for an event. This outfit is probably the most casual of all the outfits since I'm pairing it with leggings.
Black Lace Dress - Four Septembers LINK
Cardigan - F21
Leggings - Target
Belt - Ann Taylor

Outfit Three - Sequined Dress

This dress speaks for itself. It's gorgeous. It's a bit tight, so you have to be super confident to wear this. I'm not going to lie, I was a bit iffy.

I paired it with a cardigan so it'll tone down the dress and cover up any concerns I have.
It's short, but if you're cold, wear tights! A little mini won't hurt ;)
Here's a closeup of the detailing. Pretty, right?
Dress - H&M
Cardigan - Target

Outfit Four - Red Dress

Red is a lot more fun and not as boring as black. This dress is very silky, but I'm not going to lie, it was very static-y. It stuck to my body a lot and I had to keep adjusting it. Nonetheless, It's very pretty with a lace trim on the bottom, a tie in the back and a subtle lace back.
 Dress - Target

My video will be up soon. I just have to put together a few more outfits and edit it (= I hope you guys enjoyed!

Winter Fashion 2010

So I didn't finish recording & editing my Winter Fashion video but I did record some. So here are a few snapshots of the outfits to come. To be honest, I had a lot of trouble finding outfits to incorporate because I realized i didn't have much "wintery" clothes. I mean, I typically wear whatever I normally would wear and just wear a huge jacket and snow boots over it! :P
But anyways, enjoy and stay tuned for the video. Oh yea! Give me some ideas on what I should add in my winter fashion video (=

OUTFIT 1 - I read in a few magazines such as GLAMOUR that wearing knits over a sequined dress or skirt was very in style and would help tone down the "dressiness" of the sparkly dress.

I forgot to take a picture with these on, but here they are individually:

This is a sweater from Lady Mama's Closet ;) It's from a brand called Jin and is super warm but sort of itchy :(

Here is a blue sequined tank dress from Express. I got it in a size small but it's a bit big on me. This dress is gorgeous. The sequins look so pretty and shiny 8)

OUTFIT TWO - I kept this outfit pretty casual, focusing on comfort and warmth.

I'm wearing a white tank, but i suggest a long sleeved flannel shirt under a navy cardigan.
The cream, chunky, circle scarf is from H&M and has been my current obsession. It's so unbelievably warm and makes any look more effortless.
However, the attention should go to the leggings. They're a brownish sort of color and on the bottom half there's a black and white striped design. Looks sort of weird by itself but I wore it under my Juicy Couture Boots. If you don't like this style of boots, just wear it for the warmth. Honestly, all I care about in the winter time is not getting frostbite on my toes!

OUTFIT THREE - The animal print trend has been going around for a while and it's still in style now.

I got my leopard printed cardigan from Four Septembers and wore it as a dress. I rolled up the sleeve to reveal the white part of the inside sleeve and belted it to break up the pattern.
I understand that this trend can be a bit overwhelming for some. But wearing it over a neutral toned blazer can help cover the "overwhelming-ness" and make it a bit more wearable. I adjusted the cardigan so it sat a bit more loosely on my body and put on a vintage MaxMara blazer over it.

OUTFIT THREE - This outfit incorporates stripes, and sweaters.

This outfit is pretty self-explanatory but I wore a plain black sweater and added a striped scarf for more drama.

As for shoes, I put on leg warmers underneath my favorite pair of boots. This adds more texture and keeps your legs super warm!
OUTFIT FOUR - This was my more fall look because it had camel colored tones in it. However, I love camel colored tones so I know I'll definitely be incorporating it in my winter wardrobe (=
Ugh, this thermal shirt is sooo warm! I sort of had to take it off because it was too warm!
A close up of these shorts from H&M.

That's it for now. Leave any trends you would like to see in the future and I'll see you guys lataaaaa!

Whenever my birthday or Christmas arrive I always make a wishlist just as a reference for my family and friends if they're a wee bit confused on what to get me. I usually have trouble buying gifts for my friends and prefer it when they give me a list. This way, there's an element of surprise since your friend won't know which item you picked from the list & you are a hundred percent sure your friend will like it! (= Hopefully some of these things on this list can help y'all choose a few things you want for this upcoming holiday!
1. Oxfords - a simple tan color would be nice (easier to match)
2. A blazer (Preferably nude)
 3. Rings - I want a huge collection in the future
 4. A casual everyday bag that has a long shoulder strap

5. A sheer blouse
6. Necklaces & Bracelets

Halloween 2010

It's normally tradition for me and my two besterest friends to celebrate Halloween together. We originally weren't planning on going trick - or - treating.

Reasons why we didn't plan on going trick or treating
1. We're 19483048310 billion years old.
2. We do not have any costumes
3. It's cold outside
4. We do not want to walk

So we stayed at my house, again, and attempted to give each other "Halloween inspired makeovers." That's code for "Give Your Best Friend the Worst Makeover of her Life." And while doing so, we watched Chucky
Yea ... that was a really pathetic movie. Sorry to Chucky fans. I'm not sure which one I saw, but it had a boy named Andy (i think) as a character. It was really frustrating to watch because :
2. The cop was practically knocked out after the doll hit him with a bat ...
3. Chucky was burned alive, shot at five billion times, beaten and still managed to be more functioning than the cop.
4. The mother kept leaving the poor innocent boy alone with Chucky.

At around 7-ish, we decided last minute that we were going to go trick - or - treating because :
1. Who cares if we're 19483048310 billion years old
2. We wanted candy
3. We wanted candy

So Julie & Christy dressed up as cats while I decided to go as a pinup girl. We were wearing big coats so our costumes didn't even matter. The main component to our last minute "costumes" was the makeup.

So how'd it turn out? Did our desperate last minute costumes pull through? Yupp! I got tons of candy which i stole from Christy and Julie. Enough to last me the rest of this month (:
How was your Halloween?

P.S. I need to learn to take more pictures. I never take any pictures :( Hopefully having a blog will motivate me to take more

Thanksgiving 2010 Fashion

Yay! My favorite time year is slowly arriving. It seems like it was just yesterday when i started my junior year. Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's are probably my favorite holidays. Just because you get to spend it with your family and friends. To be honest, my family doesn't go all out for these holidays. Instead we just all stay home and eat a big home cooked meal. YUM (= And I'm fine with just that! Especially with my sister gone half the time for college, it's really rare for all of us to be together.

I put together two outfits for you guys, and I hope it helps you choose what you'll be wearing for this Thanksgiving.

Striped Shirt - HM; Burgundy Skirt - Urban Outfitters; Black Leggings - Target

I love the look of stripes and a basic piece, as well as the color combo. The rich burgundy-ish colored skirt really complements the brown stripes (=

This second outfit is from an online store called Four Septembers . The dress is called the "Black and Black Floral Dress" The quality is very nice and the floral print just screams fall dress (=

Dress - Four Septembers; Belt - Taiwan; Leggings - Target

 Dress without the belt

I really like the v-neck back. Very subtle, but fashionable at the same time.
