This is the most amazing thing my lips have ever tasted. It was sooooo good. Basically, it's a nutella candy bar and you know i love me some nutella (= the texture was so creamy and smooth, you just HAVE to try it
Been jogging a few times whenever the weather is a bit warm. Got a pair of the cheapest sneakers I could find. LOL. They're honestly not that bad. But I just want to get fit for the summer (=
That's it for now! A little boring, yes. I'll have more pics next time <3
Atmosphere - Soho Park was cafeteria style which is basically stand in line, order, pay and someone will deliver the food to your table. You get these really cute license plates for your ticket number and the waiters were quite friendly when serving us. We went during the lunch hour and it was really packed. Took us a while to find a seat and we finally just opted for one of the few outdoor seats. The weather was very nice so it was perfect.
Food & Price - As for the food, the portions look really small to me at first, but I was induced into a deep food coma after I was finished. The price was between 10 - 15 bucks which is good for a quick bite in the city. In my opinion, the iced coffee was expensive since they gave it in a small cup and didn't taste all that great either. No matter how much sugar or milk i added, it was still incredibly bitter. :'( Also, they slyly added money to my order. The register asked if I wanted cheese in my burger and I thought that it would be at no charge since she asked so casually. So I said sure. Little did I know she added a few extra dollars to the receipt.
Left to Right - Park Cheese with Fries with nasty coffee on the side, and Park Cheese with Fries again (= and Buffalo Wings
The burger was nice. Definitely not one of the best I've ever had but it was very nice. Julie really liked her buffalo wings and they look deslish but I'm just a sucker for buffalo wings. The fries were really nice. Different from others.
Verdict - All in all, this was a nice place to grab a quick bite. One might like how crowded it was or not. The outdoor seating was nice, though you might be sitting next to a smoker, which is understandable since you are outside. I would pass on the coffee but the burger and fries are def something I would order again.
I went to Brooklyn over the weekend to go thrift store shopping with Suah. However, I didn't get much :'( But I did have a lovely time at this thai restaurant. The interior was so nice! There was a nice big pond-ish structure in the middle of the restaurant as well as wooden swings and big bubble chairs. The food was quite nice, not spectacular but not horrific.
I also started recording a few outfit of the days this week, so stay tuned for that! (= The outfits have been winter with a few spring pieces just because the weather has been getting warmer. So excited for spring! (= Probably one of my favorite seasons along with fall.
Here, I'm wearing a black romper with pretty brass buttons. I paired it with a striped blazer from H&M.
Close up of the tights . These are from Nicole Miller
I love this blazer. But be careful! If you stare at it for too long, you might get a bit dizzy ;)
Today I had to go to school, on a day I wasn't supposed to. Spent my day taking my AP Psych midyear. So to match my mood I dressed in all black. Probably my go - to look whenever I don't know what to wear. Some say it's boring, but if you mix and match with different patterns and textures you can make it more interesting.
Here's a closer look : I actually found the gold brass button in the household button drawer. I love the vintage feel, and definitely makes the blazer look a bit more lavish
F21 reindeer necklace, H&M owl ring, OPI Malaysian Mist with some juvenile bows on the ring finger ;), Aldo Pearl Bracelet
So if you haven't watched the Best friend / Boyfriend Tag video Julie and I posted a few weeks ago, here it is
It was so much fun to film! I think the original footage was around thirty minutes, but we cut it down to fourteen.
Our Friendship
I feel like there's a big misconception between me and julie's friendship. Not only on Youtube but in real life. Me and her do not hug, compliment each other, those typical "best friend" actions. Instead, we find it super awkward whenever we compliment each other and joke that this is not how we are normally. But that's just how we are. I feel like we're sisters. I typically tend to show affection to my friends, not my best friends. It's just like how I don't hug my sister and get all lovey dovey with her. I feel like Julie & I have gone past the "OMG FRIENDS FOREVER STAGE ILYSFM *HUG , *KISS ON THE CHEEK" stage and moved on to the "I've known you forever now, and I don't need to show affection in public for others to know that we're best friends" stage.
-am i making this sound like a love story?-
But anyways, there's no doubt that whether you personally know us or not, in public it's obvious that me and jules are best friends. No questions asked. That's what I love about our friendship.
So that's my two cents on julie and i's friendship.
On a lighter note, I've received a lot of questions on my hair and makeup in this video so here it is!
Makeup - It's actually quite easy. I think it was the lashes that gave the illusion of being "pretty." HAHA.
Face - Mac Studio Finish Concealer in NW20
Eyes- no eyeshadows, WetnWild Mega Liner (i don't really like it), eyelashes from Taiwan
Lips - Revlon Matte Lipstick in Pink Pout under Revlon Super Lustrous Lip gloss in Pink Pop
As for the hair, it was really simple. I just slept with my hair in braids, applied Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly Mousse, parted my hair in the middle, and took the front sections of my hair and twisted it and pinned it back.
haha, I probably made it sound harder than it was. But it was SO incredibly simple. Perhaps I might do a tutorial on it ?
So I haven't updated my blog in quite some time, so I've decided to post just a few random pictures of my week
Last night, I went to eat some korean BBQ and this was my outfit. I scored that floraly ruffled tank for less than 8 bucks! I wore a knit H&M sweater, white H&M tee, floral Express tank and simple brown leggings. For these past few months, I've been having this obsession with ruffles peeking under t-shirts. I just think its an easy way to incorporate your spring/summer clothing into your fall/winter wardrobe.
While I was eating Korean BBQ last night, I saw SUAHHH (= You've all met her in one of my OOTD videos, and she is probably the funnest girl to hang out with. She's so fun to hang out with. I've been hanging out with her too much these past few months.
I've been loving this lipstick I'm wearing here. It's the Revlon Colorburst Lipstick in Mauve. I've also been wearing my hair like this a lot these days - just simple loose waves.
So, that's it for now. Hopefully I'll start consistently posting on my blog, but midterms and SATs are coming up so I must study study study ! sikeee.
Today was a half day. I'm not sure if all kids in the US or other countries have this, but we basically only go to school for three hours instead of the standard six. The teachers spend the rest of the day holding parent - teacher conferences in which they can talk about how bad we are. The students on the other hand, take advantage of this and normally just chill with their friends. So today, me and a few friends gathered at my house to bum around. We've wasted so much time and money hanging around outside our whole lives we just love to stay indoors now. Julie & I, just played around with my makeup collection, as usual. At first Julie did her makeup SO bad. I wish I got a picture of her. But she legit looked like she got hit by a car .... twice. But then she took it off and put on more attractive makeup.
She basically placed some black shadow on her upper and lower lashline and set it with a metallic silver.
I think it looks awesome! I feel that whenever I line my lower lashline, it looks superrrrr emo. But it might just be because I'm not used to it. But i feel like it makes my brown eyes pop a little bit more.
For me, I put on some hooker eyeshadows. YAY! Here's how it came out.
It's actually a lot brighter in person but i had to change outfits so it wouldn't look to 'ghetto' with my blue shadow
I used MAC - aquadisiac and a shimmery white from ELF
I really like this look because i makes my eyes look ten times more awake and pop a lot more (: But wear this at your own risk, it's only for the days you're feeling daring.
We then just camwhored for a while before we left to meet up with friends and eat dinner at my favorite Thai restaurant.
